Disclaimer and liability:
Scuba Coiba, S.A. will only accept certified Divers (Open Water or higher) with a valid license
or equivalent proof, presented to Scuba Coiba, S.A. prior to departure for scuba diving (diving
with tanks) activities. An exemption are scuba diver students, accompanied by their instructor
or signed in for a course offered by Scuba Coiba, S.A.
Scuba Coiba, S.A. has the right to conduct a check out dive at extra expenses of the client.
The divemaster/instructor accompanying the activity has the right to exclude clients from
certain activities per his/her discretion without refunding of payments. Reasons can be - but
are not limited to - obvious physical or mental disorders to conduct the dive safely, alcohol
consumption prior to diving, ignoring of procedures pointed out by the divemaster/instructor/or
captain prior to entering the boat resp. prior to diving.
The divemaster/instructor together with the captain of the boat are deciding about the dive
sites depending on weather conditions and abilities of the divers.
Scuba Coiba, S.A. will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal equipment during
your participation in our activities.
Scuba Coiba, S.A. will not accept responsibility for delays, unforseen expenses and other
inconvenience caused either directly or indirectly by events , such as, but not limited to, late
arrivals, severe weather conditions, acts of God, acts of government, strikes, failure of
machinery or equipment.
Please take into consideration that scuba diving is a potential hazardous activity, taking place
also from boats and in remote locations with no immediate access to medical facilities. Please
contact your travel agent about a comprehensive travel insurance.
Please also consider that normal travel insurance policies are not covering diving accidents
and hyperbaric treatment. We strongly recommend to take a special diving insurance, such as
offered for example by DAN America or
Prices and payment procedures:
Our prices are based on a minimum of divers participating in a certain activity.
Neither our prices, nor availability of booked places or equipment are binding until written
confirmation of Scuba Coiba, S.A. and are subject to change without prior notice.
To receive a booking confirmation Scuba Coiba, S.A. requires a downpayment of 25% of the
agreed prices by wire transfer or by credit card via our payment page in our web site for the
there stated amount.
The remaining balance to the total has to paid in cash prior to departure at our office in Santa
Catalina, or by wire transfer 10 days prior to departure date.
Refunds of payments:
There are no refunds for not used dives, accommodations, meals and activities. Scuba Coiba,
S.A. refunds USD 20.00 per dive, what could not be done because of sickness (except sea
sickness).
Refunds of down payments:
cancellations have to be made in writing.
If cancellation of activity takes place 15 or more days prior to departure, Scuba Coiba, S.A. is
refunding the full down-payment minus USD 50.00 handling fee, minus bank charges.
If cancellation of activity takes place between 8 and 14 days prior to departure, Scuba Coiba,
S.A. is refunding 50% of the down-payment minus bank charges (Minimum kept is USD 50.00
plus bank- or credit card fees).
For cancellation within 7 days prior to departure will be no refund.
